Gazebos and Arbors
A gazebo is a free-standing structure usually octagonal in shape found in public places such as parks and gardens. They are built to provide shade, resting area and as a shelter area during rain. Gazebos usually add to the aesthetic beauty of a garden which originated in hot and sunny regions of the world. Most gazebos are permanent garden structures constructed from durable materials but some are temporary only in nature using tents and poles. Arbores add immensely to a garden’s profusion of plants and greens by encouraging the growth of vines, shrubs and other climbing-plants. Arbores are just a giant trellis located in a specific part of a garden. It is high enough for a person to walk through and its main function is to provide a shady resting place for respite from the heat and humidity.
