When living with a baby or a toddler, necessary adjustments to your home interiors must be made in order to prevent accidents from happening. You must look around your house and determine critical parts of your dwelling that may cause harm, and then do something about them. These areas may include the sharp corners of your tables, the floors that may be slippery when wet and the staircases. Use covers on electrical sockets when not in use especially when they are within children’s reach. Furthermore, install enclosures around radiators and fireplaces to prevent children from approaching these areas. Keep medicines as well as poisonous chemicals like bathroom cleaners out of children’s reach. Lastly, remove fragile items from tables that can easily be tipped over. When you take conscious effort to ensure a child-friendly home, you will become more vigilant in determining the critical areas that you could have missed.
