Solar Electric (PV) Panels
Solar electric panels are also called as PV panels (PV stands for photovoltaic). One solar electric panel is a set of treated silicon cells that have an arrangement in a series string manner. This then results into the production of electric power upon exposure to light.

Solar Electricity
Basically, there are three basic types of solar electric panels. These three are the monocrystalline, polycrystalline, and amorphous. It is important to know the difference and the distinction among these three because each has its own practical purpose and application. You should choose the right panel for your own usage. The choice should be made with utmost consideration of vital factors, such as the amount of power to be needed, the available space in the room, and the place where the solar electric panels will be put up or mounted. Most would prefer the monocrystalline type, but basically they all would do the same thing.
Today, solar panels are widely applied in various fields and uses. In vehicles, solar panels are used to provide auxiliary power, like for air conditioning. This is for the purpose of keeping the interior cool, and thus results to a significant reduction in fuel consumption.
