Sound Proofing

Sound proofing is the system of reducing the intensity of the sound using specified source and receptor. In today’s high-end technology, there could be several basic methods to reduce the sound produced in any device or appliance. One method is by using noise barriers. Noise barriers are used to block and suck up the energy of the sound waves produced. Antinoise sound generators and sound baffles are also efficient equipment in minimizing the intensity of sound. However, the most convenient way is to simply distance the receiver from the source – this would mean that one has to distance himself from the sound source or device.

We recently put sound proofing in the conference room

The process of sound proofing reduces the sound in two ways: noise absorption and noise reduction. Noise absorption reduces sound by transforming the energy of the sound waves. This would include suppressing the reverberation, reflection, resonance and echo produced by the sound. Noise reduction functions by merely blocking the passage of the sound waves by using superseding objects in the sound path.
