Walls

A wall is a solid structure that sets division to two particular areas. It may also be designed to protect that particular area. More often than not, a wall demarcates the building and supports its structural design. Walls are basically intended to split the spaces of the building into rooms, gathering halls and quarters.

The usage of walls has varied from centuries. In the earlier civilization, walls are strongly built in order to protect the townspeople from enemies. These walls are built in protection for tribal or race wars. This was during the time when colonization was still prevailing – one concrete epitome of this is the building of the Great Wall of China which in the long run, was turned into a tourist spot.

The evolution of the walls has indeed affected the history and progress of building and architecture. At present, walls are still used for protection and privacy reasons and are even more enhanced with murals and paintings.
